NON-EMERGENCY

(973) 383-5544

Often, residents will have non-emergency requests for the police. In a case where 9-1-1 is not appropriate, anyone who needs to contact the Andover Township Police Department can call Police Dispatch twenty-four hours a day. Our police officers and civilian dispatchers are on hand to receive calls, answer questions, and refer assistance.

The following are some basic examples of non-emergency situations:

  • suspicious motor vehicle complaints
  • property checks
  • suspicious persons or activity
  • parking complaints
  • noise complaints
  • animal complaints
  • Power outages
  • Traffic conditions
  • Weather reports
  • School closings
  • Calls to request info on special events
  • request for overnight parking
  • disabled motor-vehicle, calling for assistance/towing
  • and other non life-threatening situations
