Can I apply here for a Firearms ID card or Pistol Permits?

Yes, we accept applications from residents of Andover Township only. Please contact the Records Department for more information on applying.

Can officers check my residence or business while I am out of the area?

Yes, please contact Police Headquarters and submit a Vacation Property Check request. Officers can be detailed to conduct checks of the property during the specified time frame.

Do you offer Child ID Kits?

Yes! We do them on announced date and times during community events, however contact any Police Officer and they can provide and collect one for you!

Can I come to the station to be fingerprinted?

You can come to the station to be fingerprinted for any reason, provided they provide the fingerprint card. We CANNOT provide them. If you are detailed here by Lakeland EMS or the Andover Twp. Fire Department, we can conduct the fingerprints as well. We suggest to call the station first to ensure that an officer is available to assist.

Where do I pay traffic or parking tickets?

All motor vehicle and parking summonses can be paid at the Andover Joint Municipal Court. They can be reached at 973 - 383 -4280, or online at www.njmcdirect.com. We cannot accept payment at the station.

Can I drop off unused or expired prescription medications at the station?

Yes! We have a medicine dropbox in our lobby. We can take all medications, except for liquids, needles or creams. Visit here for more information.

How do I obtain a copy of my accident report?

Once the report is available, (3-5 business days) the report will be available online at www.crashdocs.org. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Records Department.

Is the department hiring officers?

The Andover Township Police Department hires off the Department of Personnel Civil Service Commission's Eligibilty List. Please see http://www.state.nj.us/csc/ for more information and testing dates.
